For a big city we sure act like a small town! It's time to spice things up a bit and get on the international map for cool - yes cool! We know everybody in Seattle is in a big race to prove how much they don't care about being cool (everyone is so above that here) because apparently that is what actually makes you cool in Seattle...But FYI: it doesn't. It makes you beige and boring and gives our city a really bad rap in the process.
Sorry but we are not a destination spot for those participating in the lifestyle we want to encourage and represent: beauty, artistry, and yes over-the-top fashion and living-out-lout-lifestyle. We would like to not send our jet-hopping European, NYC, LA and Miami friends running and whining about grunge, rain, coffee, birkenstocks, conservative voters, and some of the most constricting Liquor laws in the US! And we are only second behind the midwest in the fees we have to pay to get media stars to appear at events here - hey we even lost our professional Basketball team to Oklahoma or some other middle-of-nowhere state...very sad state of affairs here in the NW.
You can want to save the planet AND still look good while you are doing it. You can drink coffee AND champagne. You can be a responsible professional AND still go out to a nightclub.
....what we will actually be providing on our blog:
Anything we feel relevant to either representing our Allure brand & club, helping to grow the Seattle "fashion and lifestyle movement" (to be hereon referred to as the S-FALM), or anything else that subtly influences you to think how we want you to think:)
Have someone/something relating to any of this? Please send ideas, comments, links, etc. to be considered to allureseattleblog@gmail.com, if it fits we'll share it on our blog - we want to hear from you, and we want to support you Seattle! (but only if you're artistic, visionary, fashion oriented, have an interesting point of view, or just like to work hard and spend hard - "Debbie Downers" need not apply).
....and please no comments on our spelling or punctuation. This is a blog people - it's supposed to manifest naturally:)
